B2448 Kitchenette Installation

Semper Fidelis Construction & Development is performing kitchenette installation services for Building 2448 at Fort Bliss, a multi-story facility that will remain occupied throughout construction. The project involves installing new kitchenettes on all three levels of the building (Rooms 102, 232, and 332), including new upper and base cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, stainless steel sinks with garbage disposals, and new ceiling work in each kitchen area. Work is being phased floor by floor in coordination with building occupants to minimize disruption.

Our team is performing new plumbing work to support each kitchenette, including supply and waste lines routed above the ceiling and below the floor to the basement, new drinking fountains with bottle-filling stations, and core drilling to tie into the building's existing sanitary sewer system. The project includes new fire suppression systems above the kitchen hoods on the second and third floors, integrated with the building's existing fire alarm system, along with dedicated stovetop suppression canisters at each range. Electrical work includes a new panel, dedicated circuits for the electric ranges, and GFCI-protected outlets to support the new fixtures and appliances.

 

Additional work includes new through-wall exhaust venting for each range hood, wall repair and painting throughout the affected areas, and protection and reinstallation of any building telecommunications equipment disturbed during construction. All work is being performed in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, and International Code Council standards, with close coordination through the Fort Bliss Directorate of Public Works to keep the building fully operational throughout the project.
