Demolition Building 230
Location: Joint Base San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas
Client: United States Air Force

Semper Fidelis Construction & Development is performing demolition services for Building 230 at Joint Base San Antonio–Randolph. The project involves removal of a former 9,900-square-foot corrosion control and paint facility constructed in 1931 that has reached the end of its service life and is no longer suitable for occupancy. The structure consists of wood and metal framing with brick, stucco, and concrete walls and previously supported aircraft corrosion control, preparation, and painting operations.

Our team is performing pre-demolition site documentation, field verification of existing conditions, and coordination of required utility identification and disconnection. The project includes hazardous material abatement in accordance with environmental regulations, followed by the complete demolition of the building structure. Work includes removal of all above-grade and below-grade components, including the building structure, foundations, concrete slabs, associated paving, and a concrete driveway within the designated demolition limits.

Additional work includes removal and proper disposal of all demolition debris and materials at approved facilities in accordance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements. Upon completion of demolition activities, the site will be graded and restored to support future use, including stabilization of disturbed soil and establishment of new grass cover to return the area to a clean and maintainable condition.
