Building 9 Roof Replacement
Location: VA North Texas Health Care System – Dallas, Texas
Client: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Semper Fidelis Construction & Development completed roofing and exterior improvements at Building 9 on the VA Dallas campus to address water intrusion and improve safe access between adjacent facilities.
Our team removed the existing shingle roofing system and installed new Owens Corning Oakridge Desert Tan architectural shingles with synthetic underlayment and ice and water shield protection. Work included replacement of damaged roof decking, flashing of all roof penetrations and curbs, installation of new eave edge components, and replacement of missing or damaged shingles along dormer areas. Fascia and roof penetrations were repainted to match existing finishes, and all work areas were maintained and cleaned throughout construction.
In addition to the roof replacement, our team fabricated and installed a new steel canopy structure over the walkway connecting Building 9 and the adjacent metal structure. The new structure provides weather protection for staff traveling between buildings while improving safety and accessibility across the campus.
